The St. Maryland family regrets the passing of our dear mother of the church, Mother Juanita Green.  Mother Green departed this life on Monday, July 20, 2020.

On Wednesday night, January 15, 2020, Kearson and Allison Hadley were baptized and welcomed as new members to St. Maryland.  Kearson and Allison are the daughters of Pastor and Mrs. Hadley.

​ANNUAL SUNDAY SCHOOL FELLOWSHIP

Our annual Sunday School Fellowship began with the Sunday School picnic on Saturday, September 7, 2019.  There was lots of food, fun, and fellowship. The children enjoyed lots of fun on the giant water slide.  The Sunday School Fellowship service was held during the 10:15 A.M. morning service.   The speaker for the fellowship service was Mrs. Stacey Favors of Macedonia Baptist Church.  Her message was entitled "Give It To Him, He's the Master Planner.  Her text was taken from Joshua 1:9.

                            ANNUAL REVIVAL

Our annual revival was held August  7th, 8th, and 9th.  The revival evangelist was Rev. Theodis Drake from 2nd Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He gave three nights of soul saving sermons.  His messages were:  Wednesday night--"Sitters and Watchers" (Matt. 27:36), Thursday night--"A Response to These Things" (Rom. 8:28-36), and Friday   night--"A Domestic Testimony" (Mark 5:1-20).   On the last night of revival a fish fry was given.

​St. Marlyand's Senior Choir had its 64th anniversary on Sunday, June 30, 2019.  The Master of Ceremonies was Rev. Earl Hallman from Mr. Zion Baptist Church of Damascus, GA.  Five church choirs from the area were invited to render a selection.  The program was very uplifting and was enjoyed by all who attended.

CHURCH ANNIVERSARY

St. Maryland is 162 years old!  On Friday, May 10, 2019, the church celebrated its anniversary.  The theme of the program was "A Church Built on a Solid Rock".  Eureka, Macedonia, and St. Paul Baptist Churches were on program.  Rev. Alexander Jordan preached the sermon.  His message was entitled "Preparing to do Good Works".  The text was taken from Nehemiah 2:17, 18.   Dinner was served after service.

                         Annual Youth Revival
The church observed its Annual Youth Revival on June 7, 2019.  The speaker was Min. Dontravious Simmons of Union Baptist Church of Albany, GA.  The program's theme was "Trust! God's Gotcha"  The Scripture was Isaiah 41:10.

                                                   YOUTH DAY
Annual Youth Day was observed on Sunday, June 9, 2019.   Our  own Min. Wallace Culbreath gave the message.  He gave a powerful message entitled "Wicked People and a Good God".  His text was taken from Psalm 37.
